Quality Control & Testing

Gold mining activated carbon is bought on data, not adjectives. Iodine, hardness, density, moisture, ash and particle size are tested in our own QC laboratory on every batch; the gold-specific indicators — how fast the carbon loads gold (R-value, 52–58% of equilibrium loading within 2 hours) and how much it can hold (K-value, 8–12 kg Au/t in high-grade circuits) — are measured in our own QC laboratory per GB/T 32992—2016 and reported alongside the batch COA on request. That is the standard an operating CIL or CIP plant needs before it commits to a container.
